I think the situation geopolitically
in the global landscape is definitely

And that is impacting food prices,
fuel prices, energy prices.

And I think those three factors are
critical for people's daily lives.

And that again is having a strong
impact on the risk landscape, which

we have seen because it will could
lead to protests could lead to

potential riots in some areas where
there's already extreme poverty.

So I think the energy pressure,
the food pressure and the fuel

pressure, that I think is going to
have direct impact on the ground.

Again, the geopolitical landscape
globally is impacting also investor

confidence in the sense of investor
interest and investor appetite.

So I think because of the
situation such as in Europe

They're focusing more in investments
locally, maybe regionally within Europe.

And that is also what we saw since COVID.

How they're shifting the kind of
investor interest, investor focus

So I think that is
going to have an impact.

In North America, we're not seeing that
strong interest in investing in Africa.

There are pockets you have USAID,
you have other government agencies.

But again I think about
private companies across the U.

S., there are small pockets, but it's
not really in terms of their impact.

So I think, therefore, I think, as I
said in my presentation, what we're

looking at, we're seeing an increasing
interest from the Middle East.

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Turkey,
also from from Asia, of course, China.

Although people say that China is
not focusing so much on, on Africa,

I think China will remain committed
towards Africa, as we're also seeing.

In terms of trade with Africa,
China remains very, strong.

Infrastructure investments
definitely continue.

Although the debt pressures for
a range of African countries

So I think they're becoming much
more thoughtful and precise in terms

of how they can then use lending
as a tool and instrument to drive

So I think there are different
things that can be done.

One thing is the key is to communicate
Africa globally as a destination for

Look at Cape Town, look at all
foreigners coming here now,

But again, I think it's also about
Africa needs to focus on itself.

Africa cannot wait for external
influence external investors.

Africa needs to just act, move
forward, but this requires a

leadership on political level,
but also on business level.

So I think a really concerted, strong,
active, proactive, determined effort

but also collaborating with financial
groups, investment groups really

But I think it's also about
risk appetite because I think

a lot of the risk perception
internationally about Africa is wrong.

Because people haven't been on the ground.

So we must be honest, it's
just also a lot of ignorance.

People haven't traveled across
Africa, they haven't traveled

literally maybe to any countries
in Africa, very a lot of people.

So we need to strengthen that focus
and I think I'm, doing that myself.

I'm traveling across the continent
and I'm also the people I'm talking

with are in Europe or North America,
around the world really explaining

and portraying an amazing continent
that has a lot of opportunities.

And then you manage the risks,
you find local partners that are

strong with industrial track record,
regardless of the political regimes.

You really find local partners
that can strengthen your

Because there's massive opportunities
and definitely some growth

A lot of media houses TV
production companies, they

They don't send foreign
correspondents again around the world.

So I think a lot of media houses in
Europe and in North America unfortunately

are not portraying the, image of Africa
that is a realistic image that is a

And I think a lot of times they focus
purely, on the conflicts, purely on

the wars but again, really explaining
what are the investment opportunities.

Real estate opportunities across
African continents are amazing, right?

What about educational opportunities for
students to study across the continent?

So I think there's a lot of ways that
media houses newspapers magazines

But then you have things that are
interesting like JP Morgan currently

expanding in Africa Jamie Dimon, he was
in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.

So there are elements that I think
are important to focus on, but

And how do we strengthen that going
forward in terms of Using social

media, obviously, using media channels,
using video but really strengthening

places for me to have a super
return as a conference in Cape Town.

And it's an extraordinary event,
gathering investors business

people, but also really players
from South Africa around the African

I think this combination creates like
an ecosystem for financial players.

Investors to be on the ground
and also see this great city.

So Cape Town has certainly something
to show, which is an extraordinary

So I think the current situation
when it comes to your raw materials

is I think it's like challenging and
the prices are going to increase.

I think President Trump is
coming in January 20th next
