Florian Schmidt
Deputy Head of Unit, DG SANTE at European Commission
Florian Schmidt is the deputy head of unit of the Commission’s pharmaceutical unit B.5 in the Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE). He is a lawyer by training and joined the Commission in 2004.
Amongst other things, he was involved in the implementation of the new pharmacovigilance legislation and followed the paediatric regulation, as well as general legal matters and court cases.
