  • Neil Harper
    Neil Harper

    Neil is Chairman of Turkven, the leading Turkey-dedicated private equity group, Chairman of Zamo Capital, an impact investment firm, a Non-Executive Director of Capitalworks Emerging Markets Acquisition Corporation listed on the NASDAQ, and sits on several other private equity related corporate Boards and Investment Committees. He has 32 years of professional experience. Previously he was Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Stanley AIP Private Markets, a ~$12bn global private markets fund, co-investment, and secondaries business. Prior to this, he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company operating globally, providing consulting services to clients on strategy, performance improvement, mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance. He began his career at Arthur Andersen. Neil received an M.A. from the University of Edinburgh and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
  • Valerie Shen is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at G2 Venture Partners. She oversees all operational aspects of the firm and fund including fundraising / LP relations, recruiting / HR, fund administration, impact reporting, legal, compliance, and marketing. Previously, Valerie was an analyst at Kleiner Perkins’ $1B Green Growth Fund, where she helped the team found G2. Before that Valerie was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she worked across four continents, primarily on energy projects. She has also held positions at the U.S. Senate, X (Google’s “moonshot factory”), Goldman Sachs, Jane Street Capital, and The Wilderness Society. Valerie holds a B.A. degree summa cum laude in Environmental Science & Public Policy and Earth & Planetary Sciences from Harvard University. She holds an M.B.A. and M.S. in Environment and Resources from Stanford University.

Prior to ECP, Rahul worked at Orion Power Holdings (a Goldman Sachs portfolio company) from its early days of formation, through its IPO and sale; at Morgan Stanley’s investment banking division; and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Rahul is also a founder, former Board Chair, and current Executive Committee Member of StreetWise Partners, a mentoring non-profit for facing low-income individuals with barriers to career opportunities. Rahul is also an active member of YPO. Rahul graduated from Colgate University, where he competed for its men’s swim team, and also earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

    Matt is a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income team at Ninety One responsible for supporting the growth of the existing Emerging Markets Corporate effort and helping to build the team’s illiquid, private and special situations emerging market credit expertise with a strong focus on the decarbonization of emerging markets. Prior to joining the firm, Matt worked for Gramercy Funds Management as a portfolio manager focusing on opportunistic emerging market credit. Before this he was a portfolio manager at BlackRock responsible for the fixed income portfolios of insurance clients. Matt graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor of Arts in English and French and Columbia Business School with an MBA where he was also a graduate of the Value Investing Program.
