He represents condominium corporations, their directors, owners, and insurers throughout Eastern Ontario. His experience also includes building deficiencies and claims to Tarion, shared property interests, co-ownership and construction law. Jim is proud to be an associate (ACCI) and also a fellow (FCCI) of the Canadian Condominium Institute.
- Melinda AndrewsLawyer at Davidson Houle Allen LLPMelinda Andrews is an associate lawyer with Davidson Houle Allen LLP, a boutique law firm specializing in advising condominium corporations and co-tenancy associations in Eastern Ontario. She provides a full range of services, including general corporate advice, financing and secured transactions, and collection and lien proceedings. However, her practice focuses primarily on building deficiency litigation and disputes between residents and condominium corporations. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, Superior Court of Justice, Provincial Offences Court, and Small Claims Court.
- Merredith MacLennanLawyer at Merovitz PotechinMerredith is a partner at Merovitz Potechin LLP in Ottawa. She represents clients in all aspects of real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale or financing of land and the development of residential and commercial properties. Merredith has extensive experience in shared property matters, including condominiums, joint use agreements, co-tenancy agreements, and easements, as well as title insurance and complex title matters, providing summaries, opinions, and resolutions to her clients and other lawyers. Merredith has been certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a specialist in real estate law. She is the Real Estate Co-Chair for the Federation of Ontario Law Associations (FOLA), a member of the Provincial Working Group on Lawyers and Real Estate and the Law Society’s Real Estate Liaison Group. She is a member of the CCLA Solicitor’s Conference Planning Committee and CCLA Real Estate Lawyer’s Committee.
