    Gabriel Caillaux

    Gabriel Caillaux is Co-President, Managing Director and Head of General Atlantic’s business in EMEA. He is also a member of the firm’s Management, Investment, and Portfolio Committees. Gabriel joined the firm in 2004, having previously worked in the telecoms, media & technology division at Merrill Lynch in both London and New York. During his tenure, Gabriel has helped expand the firm’s investment focus across the greater European region to include Eastern Europe and the Middle East. He focuses on investments in the Financial Services and Technology sectors. Gabriel currently sits on the Boards for Argus Media, Qontigo, Gen II, and SÉZANE. He previously held board positions at Citco, Network International, ManoMano, and Santander Asset Management, among others. He also serves as a Trustee for Parasol Unit, a non-profit art organisation and educational charity. Gabriel attended ESCP EAP European School of Management, where he earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Finance.

Burger covers market moving news and interviews leaders in asset management, private capital, policymakers, and corporate executives. High profile interviews include ECB council members, banking chief executives and CEOs at Europe's largest public companies. She’s broken exclusive stories on multi-billion dollar funds and companies. Burger was also recognized by the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing for the 2018 Larry Birger Young Business Journalist Award. Burger joined Bloomberg News in New York in 2014, writing stories on cross-asset trends, quantitative hedge funds, and passive strategies. She graduated from the University of Virginia with distinction.
