About the speakers
- Susan KasserHead of Private Debt at Neuberger BermanSusan Kasser, CFA, is Head of Neuberger Berman Private Debt, a $13 billion strategy dedicated to investing in first lien and unitranche loans to sponsor-backed companies. Prior, she was an investor at Carlyle Group and Goldman Sachs. Susan serves on Boards for the Enterprise Club of the American Enterprise Institute and Vail Health. Ms. Kasser graduated magna cum lade and Phi Beta Kappa from Brandeis University.
- Ed EyermanManaging Director, Head of European Leveraged Finance at Fitch RatingsEdward Eyerman is a managing director and the head of European leveraged finance at Fitch Ratings, based in London. He leads a team of analysts that rates over 300 leveraged transactions and produces timely reports and commentary on leveraged product and market developments. Before joining Fitch in April 2003, Ed was an investment banker in Credit Suisse First Boston’s European acquisition and leveraged finance and telecommunications groups. From 1997 to 1998, Ed was in the European high-yield origination and credit research groups at Deutsche Bank. He also worked for Merrill Lynch in New York from 1994 to 1997 as an associate in the corporate bond research department covering Yankee bond issuers. Ed holds a BA in history from Holy Cross College in Worcester, Massachusetts and a masters degree in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in New York.
- Ian GildayManaging Director at Morgan StanleyIan has 30 years of investment banking experience. Currently, Ian runs the leveraged and acquisition finance business in Europe for Morgan Stanley, and is a permanent member of the Bank’s Capital Committee. Prior to joining MS in 2014, Ian spent 10 years setting up and running the Leveraged Capital Markets business at Goldman Sachs in Europe; 6 years at Merrill Lynch; and prior to that, Deutsche Bank.
- Jordan Peer GriffinExecutive Managing Director at H.I.G. CapitalJordan Peer Griffin is an Executive Managing Director of H.I.G. Capital and is a member of H.I.G.’s Executive Committee. Additionally, she serves on the investment committee for H.I.G. Strategic Partners Funds and co-chairs the firm’s Operational Risk and ESG & Diversity and Inclusion Committees. Based in New York, she has over 23 years of experience in alternative assets and leads H.I.G.'s strategy and growth initiatives across the firm's private equity, growth equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate, and co-investment strategies. Prior to joining H.I.G., Jordan was at Blackstone’s credit business, GSO Capital Partners. Before joining GSO, Jordan worked in the leveraged finance and investment banking groups at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. She began her career in asset management at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Jordan received her B.A. in Public Policy from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) and her MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School where she was a Kenan-Flagler Fellow.
- Matthew TheodorakisPartner at Ares Credit GroupMr. Theodorakis is a Partner in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on European direct lending, including portfolio management. Mr. Theodorakis also a member of the Ares Credit Group's European Direct Lending Investment Committee and the Ares Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council. Prior to joining Ares in 2010, Mr. Theodorakis was a Vice President at Evercore Partners, where he focused on restructuring and debt advisory matters. Previously, Mr. Theodorakis was a Vice President at the CDG Group, where he also focused on restructuring advisory matters. Mr. Theodorakis holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University in Economics.
