Previously, Sean worked a lawyer practicing EU competition law in law firms in Brussels and Dublin dealing with cases across a wide range of sectors. Sean holds undergraduate law degrees from University College Dublin and Université Paris II Panthéon-Assas and a masters in law from the College of Europe, Bruges.

Kay has over a decade's experience working as a competition lawyer in private practice, in the European Commission Directorate-General for Competition, in academia, and as Senior Legal Counsel at a leading UK media and communications company. Before starting his legal career, Kay worked as a computer engineer.

Before joining Stuart and Pickup, Michael worked for Uber and also spent seven years in Paris as Senior Legal & Regulatory Counsel for Orange dealing with antitrust matters in EMEA and more specifically with M&A in the region. Orange followed a short experience in Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF - Ministry of Finance) where Michael cut his teeth on Competition law matters. Michael studied law at Université Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Université Paris XI where he worked on his PhD related to the inadequacy between regulation and digital sector.

    Zoe Lyon is a Competition Expert at the OECD based in Paris. She is on secondment from the Australian competition and consumer protection authority, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), based in Sydney. Most recently, she was a Director in the ACCC’s enforcement division, managing consumer law investigations and litigations with a particular focus on digital platform issues. Prior to that she worked in competition and consumer law enforcement roles covering a broad range of sectors. She is a lawyer by training and prior to joining the ACCC she worked both in private practice and as a legal journalist.
