    Tamar Joulia-Paris first worked as project manager for infrastructure construction in the Middle East, and then in Europe for cable manufacturing. She then joined banking to set-up a modern risk management framework for lending, investment and trading books. She became head of Credit Portfolio Management at ING in Amsterdam, developing risk appetite, research, stress testing and market-based solutions for risk, capital and liquidity optimisation. She was also leading the Credit Capital Markets business during the Global Financial Crisis. Tamar has left banking to focus on her academic pursuits and advisory work in enterprise, credit and sustainability risk management. She is teaching at the University Saint-Louis (Brussels), and serves as independent Director on the Board of Dexia, a bank in orderly resolution. Tamar holds various engineering & business management degrees from universities in Europe and is based in Brussels.
