- Nakita ReedAssociate at Quinn EvansNakita Reed is an award-winning architect with experience in the rehabilitation and sustainable reuse of historic buildings. She is a licensed architect, a LEED®-Accredited Professional, and a certified Passive House Consultant. She serves on the board of the Baltimore Architecture Foundation, is a co-chair of the Zero Net Carbon Collaboration for Existing and Heritage Buildings (ZNCC) and is host of the Tangible Remnants podcast - a podcast for lovers of existing buildings that explores the intersection of architecture, preservation, sustainability, race & gender.
- Monique OwensRegional Director, Market Transformation & Development at U.S. Green Building CouncilAs the Regional Director for the U.S. Green Building Council, Monique oversees market transformation and development activities in the Middle Atlantic and New England. Through her work, she directs USGBC's community programming in conjunction with local volunteer leaders by overseeing market development, strategic planning, event management, and education outreach. Monique holds a BA in International Studies and Global Gender Studies from SUNY at University at Buffalo and an MPA from SUNY at Buffalo State.

Through her work, she directs USGBC's community operations in conjunction with local volunteer leaders by overseeing market development, strategic planning, event management, and education outreach. She also leads market transformation and development activities across the East North Central (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, & Ohio) region of the U.S. Lana is passionate about sustainability and loves that she is able to promote sustainability in the Midwest. Lana brings nearly 20 years of non-profit experience to her position, with areas of professional experience focusing on business development, event planning, sales operations, event management, client services, human resources, and volunteer management. She graduated from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN and received a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
- Kai StarnSenior Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winters Associates, Inc.As a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Steven Winter Associates, Kai specializes in sustainability, healthy building, and community certifications. He has experience with new construction, major renovations on offices, schools, retail, and healthcare projects, and master planning efforts at community and city scales. Kai also contributes to business development in the northeastern states and chairs the Connecticut Green Building Council board.
- Keith WinnPresident Emeritus at Catalyst PartnersKeith’s extensive experience includes 25 years at Herman Miller, Inc. directing the design of a wide variety of domestic and international projects including buildings, interiors and products. Career highlights: • Served on the Environmental Quality Action Team • Became a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council • Managed the development of the furniture industries first comprehensive Design for Environment (DfE) platform • Initiated research at Herman Miller’s LEED Pioneering Greenhouse with the U.S. Department of Energy and Battelle National Labs that informed the basis for Biophilic Design practices. In 2002 Keith founded Catalyst Partners, a multi-dimensional consortium of knowledge leaders committed to high performance and restorative design protocols for buildings, interiors and products. Their early work includes the development of the LEED-CI Rating System and Reference Guide, LEED Volume Build, Multi-Building, Campus and Retail Guides. They are also a GBCI Veteran LEED Certification Review Team verifying compliance for over 5,000 LEED projects worldwide.
- Annie KellSustainability Project Manager at Group14 EngineeringAnnie Kell is a sustainability project manager specializing in building-specific embodied carbon, climate change resiliency, and sustainability certifications including LEED and SITES. Her projects are primarily large campuses and cornerstone community buildings, such as airports and government buildings. She has extensive experience guiding project teams from pre-design through construction completion to develop and reach sustainability goals suited to the project, the owner's imperatives, and the locale. Her professional training includes LEED AP BD+C, Certified Climate Change Professional, Envision Sustainability Professional, the AIA Resiliency and Adaptation Certificate, and certified Environmental Engineer in Training. She has been a long time volunteer for the USGBC, and is currently the Chair of the Market Leadership Advisory Board for the USGBC Mountain Region.
