Glenn is a Director at Succession Ecology, an Adelaide based company that harnesses the abilities of ecosystems that “hide in plain sight”. He is of the view that Climate Change will upend our notions of normal; encompassing temperature, rainfall & productivity. He believes there is urgency required in terms of action & sees that Renewables has a major role in “buying time” & providing a “reasonable Hope”. Glenn is particularly interested in how the ecosystems services provided by restoration shape temperatures, soil building, transpiration & rainfall. He wants to thread the eye of the needle by using restoration to increase Renewables productivity, reduce their operations & maintenance costs & more than pay for itself, be profitable. He has over 30 years experience as a seed collector and leads a ferocious team that collects over 3 tonnes of native seed annually. His curiosity is undaunted and his sense of humour is still intact.
