Bishma JayathilakaBishma JayathilakaChief Pharmacy Information Officer at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

Bishma Jayathilaka is a clinical pharmacist and Chief Pharmacy Information Officer at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. After completing a Bachelor of Pharmacy in New Zealand, she completed a Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne and an internship at the WHO Headquarters Department of Health Innovation. Through her clinical work, Bishma has maintained an interest in cancer having worked in paediatric and adult cancer services and in remote, rural, and metropolitan health services in Australia and New Zealand. Bishma is currently completing a PhD through the Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology at the University of Melbourne. Her research is focused on risk prediction of immune-related adverse events and aims to identify and predict adverse event occurrence in real-world population data using data science methodologies. Bishma is a key, collaborative leader in digital health strategies to optimise and develop all aspects of medications management in the Parkville EMR (Epic Systems).

Youseph DibYouseph DibQUM Pharmacist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

Youseph is a Senior Pharmacist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, specialising in Quality Use of Medicines. Additionally, they hold the positions of Chief Pharmacy Information Officer and Clinical Informatics. Youseph has attained a graduate certificate in Health Informatics and Digital Health and is currently a fellow for the Learning Health System Academy at the Centre for Digital Transformation of Health at the University of Melbourne. They have recently completed a course on the Applications of Machine Learning with the University of Manchester in collaboration with the University of Melbourne.

Youseph is an active member of the VicTAG S9, S8, and S4D Framework working group. They also chair the Pharmacy Improvement Working Group and represents pharmacy in the Environmental Sustainability Working Group, focusing on enhancing pharmacy practices and aligning them with sustainable healthcare initiatives. Youseph has led projects on pharmacogenomics, HS8, Imprivata, Office 365, REDCap, Merlin, and Epic. Dedicated to advancing pharmacy practice through innovative technologies and sustainable healthcare initiatives, Youseph is passionate about leveraging his expertise in informatics and digital health to improve patient safety, workplace efficiency, and quality outcomes.
