Anne Robert is a Partner at Sidley. Anne has extensive experience advising multinational clients on EU antitrust/competition, regulatory, and policy matters, with a particular focus on the life sciences sector. She provides strategic counsel to companies in the context of complex cartel and abuse of dominance investigations before the European Commission and national competition authorities. She frequently represents clients in high-stakes litigation proceedings before the EU Courts, and recently secured an award-winning victory for a client in a proceeding involving the EU free movement and ecommerce rules. Anne also has particular expertise representing clients in merger control cases and advising them on State aid and compliance issues.

Anne has recently been named a “Rising Star” in the Private Practice category of W@’s Five Star Women Competition Professionals survey, and has been shortlisted for “Litigation Rising Star” at the Women in Business Law Europe Awards 2021 and for “Antitrust & Competition Lawyer of the Year” at the Women in Business Law Europe Awards 2023.

She is moreover a member of the Executive Committee of W@Competition, a platform for women competition professionals, and is actively involved in the Women’s Life Sciences Network (WLSN), a platform for high-level discussions of life sciences law and policy developments.

Luca Arnaudo, Ph.D., is a senior officer of the Italian Competition Authority, where he has been a case handler of landmark cases in the field of pharmaceutical antitrust; from 2020 to 2022 he served as a special advisor at the Directorate General of the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA).

A distinguished lecturer at Syracuse University College of Law (NY), an adjunct professor at LUISS Guido Carli University (Rome), and a frequent lecturer at institutional and academic venues, Luca has written 3 academic books and over 50 articles on antitrust and regulatory topics; in 2023, he co-won the Antitrust Writing Awards with an article on pharma IPRs.
