Bert is a member of the Group Compliance Senior Management Team at Danske Bank, where he heads the wholesale banking compliance department. He also leads the sustainability compliance team .

He is a legal, compliance and regulatory affairs leader with more than 20 years’ experience in financial services (Barclays, Morgan Stanley, CME Group, Danske Bank) and legal services (Clifford Chance).

He qualified as a solicitor In England and Wales (since 2011). He has a Master in Law from the University of Leuven (Belgium) (1995) and a D.E.A. en droit from the Université de Paris I – Sorbonne (1996).
