    Maurizio Caio is the Founder and Managing Partner of TLcom Capital in Nairobi. Current board positions include Twiga Foods, Shara, Pula, and Illa. He co-chairs the Venture Capital Council at AVCA. Prior to starting Tlcom Capital in 1999, Maurizio was a Director at Bain & Company, leading the firm’s EMEA Technology practice, and an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company. Maurizio holds a Stanford MBA and a Summa-cum-Laude degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan. He teaches Business Strategy for Investors and Entrepreneurs at the Nigeria University of Technology and Management in Lagos. He designed and run the inaugural Venture Capital course at Ashesi University in Ghana.

    Christophe de Montille is an Investment Manager for Beyond Capital Ventures who leads the company's African investment portfolio. Prior to joining Beyond Capital, Christophe previously worked as a management consultant for 10 years before leading transaction advisory work for Small Enterprise Assistance Fund, Castalia, and Aser Capital. Christophe holds a M.B.A. and M.A. from George Washington University in Washington D.C., and a B.A. in Economics, Political Science, and Philosophy from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

    Kenza Lahlou is the Founder and Managing Partner at Outlierz Ventures, an Africa-focused early-stage VC firm dedicated to Seed stage tech-enabled companies. The fund backs founders using technology to close infrastructure gaps and digitize key traditional industries across the continent's main tech hubs. She is a pioneer ecosystem builder and VC investor in Africa with a background in Technology and investment. She lived and worked in Africa, Europe, Asia and the United States with experience spanning software engineering, management consulting and private equity. Kenza started her career as a Computer Science engineer in France, then acquired experience in Private Equity in Africa after a Masters in Business in Singapore. Before starting Outlierz Ventures, she moved to Silicon Valley to join an advisory firm providing market entry services to emerging markets tech companies looking to scale in the US market. Inspired by this experience, she returned to Morocco and co-founded StartupYourLife, one of the pioneer ecosystem builders in the country, as a leading community of tech founders to connect to investors and mentors in the region. Kenza holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science from INSA in France and a Master of Strategy and International Business from ESSEC Business School in Singapore. She completed a Leadership Executive Program at the Harvard Kennedy School in 2016. Kenza is a Kauffman Fellow Class 25.

    Scott graduated cum laude from UCT having studied a Bachelor of Business Science (honours in Economics). He further passed all the CFA exams during the early stages of his career. Scott has 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry. His early career was spent in the listed equity environment as an Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager. He also has corporate finance experience, and the latter part of his career has been in the Venture Capital industry. Scott is, above all, a passionate investor in both the listed and private markets with a strong bias towards scalable technology with an impactful lens.
