Michael leads a talented, dynamic team focused on building decarbonization. His portfolio of programs includes the Empire Building Challenge, Real Time Energy Management, Innovative Market Strategies, and the Commercial Tenant Program. Our work supports efficiency and electrification across all building sectors, with a focus on large buildings in downstate New York. We work closely with key market stakeholders such as building owners, technology vendors, engineering firms and policy makers to accelerate deployment of building decarbonization solutions.

Prior to joining NYSERDA, Michael led clean energy programs at Groundswell, a DC-based nonprofit. Michael holds an MPA from NYU Wagner and served for three years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Peru
