Michael Kilcullen is Senior Manager, Engineering and Projects Delivery at Fortescue, responsible for the design and delivery of the first stage of Fortescue Hydrogen System’s Green Energy Manufacturing Centre (GEM) located in Gladstone, Queensland. A highly experienced leader, Mike has extensive expertise in the management and delivery of technical, manufacturing and construction projects. He recently led Fortescue’s first Board approved green hydrogen production project, the US$150 million Gladstone PEM50, from ideation to Final Investment Decision. Concurrently, Mike has Co-Founded and is both Company Secretary and Director of Starling Energy Group, where he is working toward building large-scale, virtual power plants set to become part of Australia’s future grid. Prior to joining Fortescue, Mike held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Starling Energy Group, alongside his existing roles with the Company. Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia, the Australian Institute of Building and the Governance Institute of Australia.
