    Richard Burnley joined the EBU Legal Department as Senior Competition Counsel in 2010 from the Office of Communications (OFCOM) in the UK. In 2012, he was appointed EBU Head of Regulatory Legal Services, in 2016 Director of Legal and then in 2018 Director of Legal and Policy, responsible for EBU regulatory positions and advocacy at the EU and national levels. Previously, Richard worked for several years as a competition lawyer in a leading international law firm in Brussels and London, as well as in the Merger Task Force of DG Competition, European Commission. He is a qualified solicitor of England and Wales, holding an LLB from King's College, London University, an LLM from the Humboldt University of Berlin and a PhD in European competition law from the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

    Alberto Di Felice leads the Infrastructure, Privacy and Security teams at DIGITALEUROPE, the trade association representing the digital technology industry in Europe. He is responsible for data protection, cybersecurity and telecoms. Alberto joined DIGITALEUROPE in February 2018, having previously spent seven years at Qualcomm, a world leader in mobile technologies. His work there cut across EU technology policy areas such as privacy, telecoms regulation and the impact of digital on innovation and business models, including verticals such as connected cars and mobile health. Alberto is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E). He holds degrees in law and European studies from the universities of Teramo and Trento in Italy as well as a masters in diplomacy from the Institute for International Political Studies in Milan.

    Professor of European Law at University of Namur
    Alexandre de Streel is professor of European law at the University of Namur where he chairs the Namur Digital Institute and visiting professor at the College of Europe (Bruges) and SciencesPo Paris. He is also academic director of the digital research programme at the Brussels think-tank Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE), chair of the expert group on the online platform economy advising the European Commission and member of decision panel at the Belgian Competition Authority. His main research areas are regulation and competition policy in the digital economy (telecommunications, platforms and data) as well as the legal issues raised by the developments of artificial intelligence. Previously, Alexandre held visiting positions at New York University Law School, European University Institute in Florence, Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and the University of Louvain. He also worked for the Belgian Deputy Prime Minister, the Belgian Permanent Representation to the European Union and the European Commission.
