Jess Lane is a dynamo in the innovation space. Jess lead the Home for Good Project, Live to Give project, Rainworks Australia (invisible graffiti), she was published in the NDS State of the Sector report 2019; she community resourcing projects and health education projects in South East Asia, Inclusion in Sports program, hosts all abilities Triathlons, Supported Schoolies initiatives, the Beach Mat Accessibility programs, and Chair the Support Coordination Community of Practice. She established the first Lions Club in the World governed exclusively by people with a disability.
Jess has travelled to participate in training with REDR on the UN Principles for responses to Disaster, training that has been used to respond to disaster in a community setting with a focus on meeting the needs of all with the focus on resilience and Human Rights. She has used these skills to consult on the accessibility needs of those in refugee camp settings, raising the bar for all.
Being a regional advocate for Building Better Homes, Jess rallied within her community to change the National Construction Code and she collaborates with local health care systems on meeting the needs of people with a disability regarding accessibility and suitability. She Is a member of the Fraser Coast Inclusion Advisory Committee and being a Mother of a person with a disability keeps her busy outside of all that! When not at work, her favourite way to spend her spare time is the work she does with a charity called Rally for a Cause; where the major fundraiser is an annual charity car rally called Dunga Derby!
