Now, there are those who are concerned
about challenges still very expensive

on the panel we had yesterday which is
I think really riveting sort of thing.

we really got to grapple with some of the

issues and we had great panelists on it.

Some of the things that came out of
that were actually big challenges

in North America with hydrogen, but
in Europe, there seems to be a lot

of traction and a lot of interest.

There was a recent IEA report,
International Energy Agency report,

which basically talked about the fact
that the sector for hydrogen will

need to grow by 90 percent by 2030.

That's tremendous.

That means that it will have
to grow at a faster pace.

then Solar PV Group at its fastest.

Now, on the one hand, challenging,
daunting, but once again, also

opportunity for investors.

I think in order to to make it more
attractive for investors, we'll

also have to see the government
doing its part in various parts

of the world, obviously across the
Atlantic, et cetera in providing

the right incentives and the right
regulation in place for that to happen.

capacity within this pipeline system.

And we see this happening in in Europe
and in other places around the world.

I think that's very important because
no matter if the gas pipeline you have,

is in the development context, like
this was in the context of Gaza, or if

it's in a developed nation or what have
you, to already be thinking ahead, to

think about can this pipeline in future
transmit transport hydrogen, I think is

{{00:02:55}}
important and we need to be doing that.

So I I love the rainbow question
when we talk about hydrogen.

One of the insights that come out,
that came out from the panel, was

to me personally very interesting.

seem very strongly indicating that green
and blue is probably more realistic

right now as part of the transition.

Frankly, they're also cleaner
than, for example, grey hydrogen.

But again, I'd like to hope that as we
progress with the energy transition,

that we'll see additional forms,
additional colors, which are more

{{00:03:36}}
sustainable and clean coming through.

For example, pink hydrogen, which would
be produced from nuclear energy is one

{{00:03:43}}
where, as we see this area developing,
and as we see nuclear becoming more, you

{{00:03:49}}
know, affordable, accessible, safe, etc.,

as a form of clean energy that, too can
then have impact on hydrogen, and we

{{00:03:57}}
can see pink hydrogen being produced
from that, but realistically, I think in

{{00:04:00}}
the more immediate term, we're looking
more at, It's blue and green hydrogen.

So I think that's again, a very good
question and it's a very timely question.

I was just in New York Climate Week
on behalf of New Vest, the fund I'm

with, and and I heard a great session,
which was chaired by the Atlantic

Council and the Atlantic Book, and
they were talking there about they had,

Dina Friedman, I think is her name.

She's the CEO of Nasdaq.

And she gave a great presentation.

One thing she said about it, she
said private markets are not as

accessible to your everyday mom
and pops and all the rest of it.

It's a very sophisticated, market.

And how do we make this more accessible?

I'm very proud to say that at

mobilized for the energy transition.

McKinsey wrote a report a few years
ago talking about how three to five

trillion dollars are needed annually
for us to get to net zero by 2050.

That's a gargantuan challenge that we
have and in that respect private capital

{{00:05:47}}
will need to play an important role.

{{00:05:49}}
So we'll do our best to do that.

As part of our concept, part of
our theory, what we created was

the world's first global energy
transition fund for private markets.

So again, taking the same formulas
we've used for private equity and

private debt and applying that.

for energy transition funds
in the infrastructure space.

to be channeled to these private

players, private market players, private
funds in the energy transition space.

That's important especially in
energy transition because we need

so much capital there, number one.

Number two, it's important
for benchmarking purposes.

It's important because a lot
of investors out there, they

don't know what's going on.

who to invest in, who's really green,
and we've created a formula which

which enables us to channel it to
there and in aggregate, the energy

transition funds that we're investing
in through our index are raising

northwards of a hundred billion dollars.

We expect that's going to rise in the
coming years and that will play an

important role in contributing towards the
total amount of capital which is needed.

Talk to investors around the
world, we talk to LPs around the

world, and many of them say to
us, we don't have access to that.

And we'd like to be able to access them.

And the fact of the matter is by creating
the index, what we were able to do is say,

look, we're basically buying the market.

We effectively we don't want
to put all of our cards on

one fund as good as it may be.

We want to basically buy the market and
again, going back to energy transition.

This is important because we
don't know where the disruptive

technology is going to come from.

Is it going to come from?

A company that this fund is
invested in, or a company that

fund is invested in, we don't know.

And the point of buying the market
and investing in the market is

that it enables you to effectively
take a bet on the whole spread.

And it's a way of hedging, but it's
also a way which is being, I think,

realistic with the energy transition.

And I think that the innovations,
the disruptions that we think

will be coming out of the private
market space are critical.

In fact, they could surprise us,
they could be more critical than

those in the listed company space.
