Ralph Büchel, Partner Private Equity, is Global Head of Secondaries, and Co-Head of the Emerging Manager programme. He joined Akina (now Unigestion) in 2011 covering the DACH and UK regions. In 2018, he was appointed as Head of Emerging Managers, responsible for Unigestion's global Emerging Manager strategy. In 2021, he become Partner Private Equity, with an increase focus on secondary investments across Europe. He was appointed to his current position in 2022.
Ralph began his career at Sungard Bancware in Winterthur, Switzerland. He then moved to UBS Investment Banking, and subsequently Obermatt & Partners. Prior to joining Akina, Ralph worked in Mergers & Acquisitions at Capital Concepts International on several sell and buy side corporate finance advisory mandates.
Ralph holds a Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance from the University of St Gallen, Switzerland and is a CFA Charterholder.
Nicolas is a Managing Director at Cambridge Associates and has over 20 years of experience in the investment and financial services industry. He is based in the firm’s London office and is a senior member of global Secondaries team. He is overseeing due diligence on secondaries opportunities and secondary funds. Previously, Nicolas led CA’s EMEA Manager Research team for Private Equity, Growth and Venture Funds.
Before Nicolas joined Cambridge Associates, he worked at Macquarie Investment Management, in the Private Equity Fund of Funds team in London, where his responsibilities included the due diligence and quantitative analysis of primary, secondary and co-investments, as well as portfolio management. Prior to this, Nicolas was with the Merger & Acquisition Advisory Teams of Lazard & Co. and ABN AMRO in London. He also worked at the life insurance company Deutsche Herold LebensversicherungAG in Bonn, Germany.
Marc Meier is Co-Head of the Private Infrastructure Partnership Investments business unit, based in Zug. He is a member of the Private Infrastructure Investment Committee. He has been with Partners Group since 2008 and has 16 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Partners Group, he worked at Sal. Oppenheim Jr. & Cie. Corporate Finance (Switzerland) Ltd. He holds a master's degree in banking and finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland.
Pauline Wetter is a Principal and Co-Portfolio Manager for LGT Group Endowment Private Equity at LGT Capital Partners Ltd. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, she was an associate with Mooreland Partners in London, an investment banking advisory firm focused on the IT and telecommunications sectors. Mrs Wetter holds an MSc in Management from ESCP Europe in Paris
Based in Edinburgh, Patrick heads up the Secondaries team within Patria Global Private Markets Solutions (“Patria GPMS”), the division of Patria Investments that acquired abrdn Private Equity in April 2024. Patrick is responsible for making investments across the private equity spectrum (Primaries, Secondaries and Co-investments) as well as having overall responsibility for Patria GPMS’ Secondary investment business. Patrick is a member of the Patria GPMS Investment Committee and Senior Management Team.
Prior to joining one of the predecessor firms that formed abrdn Private Equity in 2009, Patrick spent eight years at Coller Capital in London, where he worked on numerous secondary portfolio transactions. His early career consisted of seven years in investment banking, first at Baring Brothers and then at ABN Amro Corporate Finance.
