    Joe Abrams
    Partner at Mercer
    Joe is a Partner within Mercer’s Investments business, and Head of Private Debt, Europe, managing a team of investment professionals specialised in researching and investing in Private Debt. Joe is a member of Mercer’s Private Debt Investment Committee, Private Debt Rating Review Committee, and more broadly supports the delivery of strategic research, advice and implementation across Mercer’s global Investments business, with a focus on credit. Joe has worked with a diverse array of institutional investors across the advisory and discretionary continuum; advising on the merits of building private credit allocations to suit varied risk and return objectives, whilst harnessing the heterogenous nature of the asset class. Joe regularly represents Mercer’s views externally at conferences, forums, social media and via publications/white papers, and has gained industry recognition for innovative credit-oriented solutions. Prior to moving into the Private Debt team, Joe led Mercer’s research efforts in (liquid) Global Credit, Absolute Return Fixed Income/Unconstrained Bonds, Secured Finance, and was a member of Mercer’s Strategic Research Group. Joe began his career as a broker for ADM Investor Services in 2007, trading a wide variety of equity, interest rate and FX derivatives. Following this Joe spent time as an equity analyst for an asset management firm based in Jersey working on an options-based equity strategy. Joe joined Mercer in 2010. Joe holds a BA Hons in Management Studies from Nottingham University, and a MSc in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School. He is also a CFA Charterholder, a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and is a Chartered Manager and Member of the CMI.

    Greg Racz

    Mr. Racz is President and a co-founder of MGG Investment Group. In this capacity, Mr. Racz is a member of the Investment Committee and oversees the firm’s operations and Investor Relations. Prior to joining MGG, Mr. Racz was President, Principal, and Chief Legal Officer of Hutchin Hill, a multi-billion multi-strategy hedge fund. Prior to joining Hutchin Hill, Mr. Racz co-founded Octavian Advisors, LP, a $1.4 billion multi-strategy investment fund, and served as President, Chief Operating Officer, and general counsel (2006-2009). Previously, Mr. Racz was a member of the corporate department of the law firm Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz (1999-2006). There he advised on corporate, securities, and compliance matters for Fortune 500 businesses, investment firms, and institutional and high net worth clients, including ConocoPhillips, General Mills, Walt Disney Company, Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Fox Paine, Warburg Pincus, a Washington State Investment Board affiliate, and owners of the New Jersey Devils. Mr. Racz was also a journalist at The Wall Street Journal and The Buffalo News (1993-1995), and worked at the Manhattan D.A.’s Office (1991-1993). Previously, Mr. Racz was clerk on the D.C. Circuit, U.S. Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Board of Trustees & Investment Committee of the NYU School of Law Foundation, and was a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the P&I Research Advisory Panel. He was named a “2011 Rising Star of Hedge Funds” by Institutional Investor. Mr. Racz received his JD, Order of the Coif, magna cum laude, from NYU School of Law and his BA, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Dartmouth College. Mr. Racz also studied at Oxford University and Leningrad State University.

    Head of Indirect Private Debt at Generali Asset Management
    Responsible for the management of GenAM SGR’s Private Debt Fund-of-Funds, Marco is in charge of the selection, implementation and monitoring of investments in Private Debt funds managed by global asset management companies. He is also advisor of several Private Debt funds carrying out supervision and vetoing activities. Before he was the Head of the Generali Group CIO Office and an investment manager for the insurance companies of the EMEA region. Before joining Generali, he worked in Banca IMI (Intesa SanPaolo Group) as a proprietary trader structuring and executing securities financing transactions (repos, securities lending, collateral swaps, TRS) and derivatives novations. He started his career in the Financial Risk Management at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Marco holds a Master of Science in Finance from Bocconi University with an exchange program at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He earned a Bachelor degree cum laude in Economics from University of Padova.

    Head of Private Credit & Housing Associations, Asset Management at Phoenix Group
    Cedric joined Phoenix Asset Management as Head of Private Credit & Housing Associations in March 2023. Within Private Markets, his team is responsible for the origination and deployment of private debt investments in Corporates and Financials. Cedric previously spent three years as an Investment Director at abrdn where he was originating and executing direct private debt investments. He was also leading abrdn’s approach and integration of ESG across Private Credit. Prior to joining abrdn, Cedric spent more than a decade in investment banking at BNP Paribas and Barclays where he was focusing on the origination and structuring of debt financing both in the Investment Grade and High Yield spaces. Cedric has experience across industries, geographies and financing instruments ranging from senior secured debt to subordinated tranches and preferred shares, as well as contingent capital and convertible structures. He graduated with a Master of Science in Management from HEC Paris and a Master 2 (DEA) in Quantitative Finance from Ecole Polytechnique and Dauphine/ENSAE.
