Sebastien BurdelSebastien BurdelPartner, Secondaries at Ares Management

Mr. Burdel is a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager in the Credit Secondaries team, and a Partner in the Private Equity Secondaries team. Additionally, Mr. Burdel serves as a member of the Credit Secondaries and Private Equity Secondaries Investment Committees. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Burdel was a Co-Founder and Partner of Spring Bridge Partners. Previously, Mr. Burdel was a Partner at Coller Capital where he spent 12 years, and served on the firm's Global Investment Committee, Strategic Committee and on the Advisory Board of key underlying investments. In addition, Mr. Burdel has held several positions in the Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Units at General Electric. Mr. Burdel holds a B.A. from Audencia in France in Business and an M.B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School.

John BohillJohn BohillPartner at StepStone Group

Mr. Bohill is a member of the private debt team.

Since Mr. Bohill joined StepStone in 2013, he has also been a director at Kish Capital, a distressed debt, real estate opportunities, and non-performing loan investor based in Dublin and Lisbon. Before joining Kish he acquired and operated several businesses on his own behalf, and was co-head of European technology and communications at BancBoston Capital, a principal private equity investor.

Mr. Bohill graduated with first-class honours with a BBs in finance from Trinity College, Dublin.

Toni VainioToni VainioPartner at Pantheon

Toni is a Partner in Pantheon’s Global Private Credit Investment and European Investment Teams. He previously worked in the private markets team at Cambridge Associates, where he advised institutional investors on their private market investment programs and conducted research and due diligence on private market funds, managers, and markets. Toni has an MPhil in economics from the University of Oxford and a BEng in engineering with business finance, which was jointly taught at University College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is fluent in Finnish, Spanish and English.

William (Bill) J. Kelly, is the CEO of the CAIA Association with 30+ years in institutional asset management in successive CFO, COO, and CEO roles. A former CEO of Boston Partners and one of the founding partners of the predecessor firm, Boston Partners Asset Management, he's a global speaker and advocate for shareholder protection. Bill serves as Chairman of Boston Partners Trust Company and is an Advisory Board Member for the Certified Investment Fund Director Institute, which seeks to bring the highest levels of professionalism and governance to independent fund directors around the world. As a member of the board of the CAIA Association, Bill also represents CAIA in similar capacities via their global partnerships with other associations and global regulators.
