Elise Bohan is a Senior Research Scholar at the University of Oxford’s Future of Humanity Institute (FHI). She holds a PhD in macrohistory (Big History) and wrote the world’s first book-length history of transhumanism as a doctoral student. Her debut book Future Superhuman: Our transhuman lives in a make-or-break century was published in 2022. Elise is fascinated by the forces that stand to shape the next chapter of humanity’s evolution - climate, computers and AI - and the challenges and opportunities we face as a species as we transition from the human world, to a superhuman future.
