Justine is Senior Solicitor in the Health Law team at the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office.
Her previous experience working in pathology laboratories and private hospitals together with her experience in private practice litigation with varied matters including: gynaecological and obstetric, wrongful birth claims, surgical and medical complications, failure to diagnose and delayed diagnosis cases, coronial inquires, compensation to relatives claims and mental harm claims has armed her with a unique set of skills to assist in problem solving complex medicolegal issues.
Justine is also the President of the Women Lawyers Association of NSW. An association which advocates for women and women lawyers on a number of different issues including pay parity, flexible work, abolition of sexual harassment within the work place, issues of diversity and intersectionality felt by women and women lawyers.

Seun Idowu is a Partner at Hall & Wilcox, Sydney office. She specialises in most facets of health, care and community services including investigating and defending medical negligence claims, coronial inquests arising from health treatment, custodial health and death in custody investigations, ageing and disability matters, disciplinary and regulatory matters for health practitioners and organisations including AHPRA, HCCC, professional councils, and investigations run by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and Aged Care Quality Safety Commission.

Anita is a Clinical Midwifery Consultant (CMC) at St George Public Hospital responsible for maternity clinical risk and practice development. Having worked on numerous Serious Adverse Event Reviews in NSW Health, she brings extensive experience in understanding adverse outcomes, risk management and stakeholder engagement. Anita has vast experience in clinical governance in her previous role in the St George Clinical Governance Unit, where she was responsible for coordination and standardisation of policy development. In this role she gained valuable experience in patient safety management and patient experience. As a CMC, Anita works with staff and women to mitigate and manage risks in the maternity space, with responsibility for incident management, quality improvement and the development of midwifery models of care. Anita is passionate about working with women to achieve positive pregnancy and birth experiences as well as working with maternity teams to improve services and take on any opportunity to enhance safety and quality.

Alice Tuson is a registered midwife in the birthing unit at The Royal Hospital for Women, Randwick, Sydney. Alice was awarded the ‘best new talent’ nationally with the Australian College of Midwives in 2022. She is highly regarded as a clinician who is passionate and committed to the human rights of childbirth. Still considered an early career midwife, Alice brings a wealth of experience prior to being a midwife. She was a founding trustee of the pregnancy charity, ICP Support and has been published in several journals writing about intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy (ICP). Her contributions to policy and directive committees in the UK as well as NHS maternity reviews as an antenatal educator / lay representative set a foundation for her being an advocate of evidence-based care the moment she stepped into the role of a student midwife. She regularly speaks at conferences and enjoys engaging with all discussions relating to how we can provide gold-standard care for women and their families.
