Mark Burdack is the Chief Executive Officer of the Health Communities Foundation Australia Ltd. The Foundation operates HealthAccess as a social enterprise to provide high quality, GP-led, direct and hybrid telehealth solutions to the hospital, primary health, residential aged care and correctional sectors. Mark has a long history in the design and delivery of technology-enabled solutions that respond to community needs and priorities. In his early career he led the creation of CaseLaw NSW to make judicial decisions of the NSW Courts freely available to consumers to increase access to justice and improve outcomes for self-represented litigants. He designed one of the first e-Courts in NSW. He also led the establishment of LawAccess NSW to make legal assistance equally available to all residents of NSW. He was one of the early leaders in the emerging field of consumer-led design based on a philosophy that for technology to deliver genuine returns on investment, cost-effectiveness must encompass service quality and consumer choice. His work on the design and development of the award-winning HealthAccess service has resulted in a bespoke solution that responds equally to the needs of consumers and providers, generating satisfaction ratings of more than 90% among consumers and clinicians while contributing to significant cost savings for health care providers.

Jennie is a senior Emergency Physician at the Victorian Virtual Emergency Department. As Head of Health Equity, Jennie has an interest in addressing the healthcare disparities that affect priority populations accessing telehealthcare. She is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne and The Public Health Unit at La Trobe University and has an MPH. She has published extensively in areas related to priority populations that frequent the ED and initiated innovative programs to enhance the quality of care in this demographic.
