Thomas Riesz is a dedicated Electrical Engineer with over a decade of experience in the electricity and telecommunications sector. Currently serving as a Senior DC Systems Engineer at Energy Queensland, he plays a pivotal role within the Energy Storage team in the design and operation of EQL’s BESS. Thomas is a driving force in the development and implementation of new and updated EQL standards to improve efficiencies in the rollout of energy storage systems. Previously, Thomas worked within the Substation Design and Protection Engineering teams at EQL, building a robust background in both Primary Plant and Secondary Systems design. In his dynamic career, Thomas has overcome numerous challenges, demonstrating resilience and innovation. With a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland status in both the Electrical and IT&T disciplines, Thomas stands as a key innovator in shaping the future of energy infrastructure.
