Jolanta Samoc has been a project manager at the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the past 9 years. During this time, Ms Samoc has delivered a number of TGA medicines projects, including updating the names of medicine ingredients to align with international terminology and improvements to how the public can access information about medicine formulations. Ms Samoc is currently the project manager for the Medicines Adverse Event Data Exchange project.

Description

• The Therapeutic Goods Administration is investigating ways to improve how health professionals report medicine adverse events. • This work includes better integrating adverse event reporting into health systems to reduce barriers and help health professionals meet their regulatory obligations. • The TGA is also working to streamline how adverse event data is shared to improve the management of safety signals in Australia.
