Damien is a geologist with 25 years’ experience, largely in North Queensland. After completing a doctorate at JCU Townsville, he moved to Western Australia, leading teams to exploration success – most recently with Black Cat Syndicate (Myhree gold discovery) and Spectrum Metals (Penny Gold discovery). Damien moved back to Townsville and started Sunshine Gold, now Sunshine Metals, in December 2020. He is proud to head up a North Queensland based, North Queensland focussed company.
