Ntheye Lungu currently heads the Combined Assurance and Business Resilience functions at Old Mutual Insure, the second largest property & casualty insurance business in South Africa. He has over 10 years’ experience in senior management roles leading teams in areas spanning Business Resilience, Combined Assurance, Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit, Information Technology Risk, and Information Security Governance. He was the recipient of the prestigious Old Mutual Insure Managing Director’s Award for 2020 in recognition of his contribution towards helping the business navigate the Covid-19 pandemic by leading and coordinating the overall business resilience effort. Post pandemic, Ntheye Lungu has led the effort to implement the hybrid model way of working across Old Mutual Insure. Ntheye holds a post-graduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. When not occupied with all things assurance and resilience, Ntheye can be found on a golf-course pursuing the ever diminishing hope of one day becoming a decent golfer. He is also an avid reader.

Carolina Thomaz is the Chief Risk Officer at Itaú Private Bank in Zurich.

In her role, she is responsible for Market, Liquidity, Counterparty and Operational risks, as well as Compliance, Information Security and Suitability.

Prior to Itaú, Carolina was the CRO of Sygnum Bank. Sygnum is the world's first digital asset bank, founded on Swiss and Singapore heritage.

Before joining Sygnum, Carolina worked as the Head of Risk Management at Itaú Private Bank in Zurich, where she was responsible for managing financial and operational risks, as well as leading digital transformation projects.

Previously, she was a Project Manager at Vale, a multinational mining corporation, where she managed a portfolio of risk management projects globally.

Carolina holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications Engineering and is a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
