Description

• Technology-related errors (TREs) are new errors that occur after the implementation of eMeds. • Understanding the types of TREs that occur is crucial for ongoing optimisation of eMeds. • We investigated over 1000 clinical prescribing errors immediately and 1-year after the implementation of eMeds at a paediatric hospital. • One if four clinical prescribing errors were assessed to be technology-related. • How the TREs occurred, and actions taken to address them will be described.
