    Matt Cwiertnia
    Partner, Co-Head of Private Equity at Ares Management
    Mr. Cwiertnia is a Partner and Co-Head of the Ares Private Equity Group. He serves on the Ares Executive Management Committee. Additionally, Mr. Cwiertnia serves as a member of the Ares Private Equity Group's Corporate Opportunities, Special Opportunities, Energy Opportunities, and Extended Value Investment Committees. Prior to joining Ares in 2005, Mr. Cwiertnia worked in the Financial Sponsors Group at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he focused on providing advisory and financing services to financial sponsors and their portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Cwiertnia was a member of the Investment Banking Department of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. In addition, he worked at Jefferies & Co. Inc., where he focused on investment banking. Mr. Cwiertnia currently serves as a member of the Boards of Directors for the parent entities of Convergint Technologies, Ryan, CoolSys, and Resource Label Group. Mr. Cwiertnia's previous Boards of Directors experience includes Valet Living, LLC and Insight Global LLC. Mr. Cwiertnia holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of California Los Angeles in Business Economics and an M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles Anderson School of Management, where he graduated as a Carter Fellow. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.

    John is based in the firm’s London office and is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Hamilton Lane’s Fund Investment Team. John is an Investment Committee member and oversees globally the recommendation of all primary fund investments. He also serves as a senior member of the firm’s Portfolio Management Group overseeing the allocation and portfolio construction across all client portfolios. Previously John was based in the firm’s headquarters outside of Philadelphia serving in the same role before relocating in 2022. Since joining Hamilton Lane in 2009, John has worked across several teams and functions including the Research Team where he helped to develop a number of the firm’s proprietary tools such as the Horizon Model or Public Market Equivalent II (“PME II”). John also spent time as a member of the Allocation Team, overseeing the firm’s allocation process across all investment decisions reporting directly to the Allocation Committee. John received a B.S in Mathematics with distinction from Drexel University.

    Nick Jansa is Executive Managing Director, EMEA, for Ontario Teachers’, one of the world’s largest pension plans, with approximately C$242 billion of net assets, 80% of which are managed in house. As a member of the Investment Executive Team, Nick leads investment activities and portfolio management in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region for Ontario Teachers', one of the world’s largest pension plans with approximately C$242 billion of net assets. He is based in Ontario Teachers' London office. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Nick spent almost 25 years at Deutsche Bank where he progressed to Managing Director, Co-Head of Corporate Finance EMEA and Global Co-Head of Leveraged Debt Capital Markets. Over the course of his career, he gained deep expertise as both capital allocator and principal investor, built strong European knowledge, and cultivated a robust network on the buy and sell side.

    David Kerko is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of North America Private Equity at Elliott Investment Management L.P. Prior to joining Elliott in 2021, Mr. Kerko was an Advisor to KKR & Co. Inc. (KKR) from 2015 through June 2020. From 2010 to 2015, Mr. Kerko was a Member at KKR and served as Co-head of the Technology Group from 2013 to 2015. Mr. Kerko joined KKR in 1998 and played an active role building the firm’s technology platform from 2006 to 2015. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Kerko was with Gleacher NatWest Inc. where he was involved in mergers and acquisition transactions and financing work. He holds a B.S. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S.E., summa cum laude, from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the boards of Cloud Software Group, Nielsen, Cubic and GlobalFoundries.

    Michael Bruun is global co-head of Private Equity within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He is a member of the Asset Management Corporate Investment Committee, Asset Management Growth Investment Committee, Sustainable Investing Group Investment Committee and Asset Management Diversity and Inclusion Committee. In 2021, Michael was named head of EMEA Private Equity within Goldman Sachs Asset Management and from 2019 to 2021, he was head of Private Equity and Growth Equity investing for India. He joined the Merchant Banking Division in 2010 and worked in London and New York. Prior to that, Michael was a member of the Nordic Mergers & Acquisitions team in the Investment Banking Division (IBD), after initially joining IBD in 2005. He joined Goldman Sachs as an analyst in the Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities Division in 2004. He was named managing director in 2013 and partner in 2016. Michael earned a BA in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, with studies at Cornell University.
