Lindsey McMurray founded Pollen Street in 2013 and is the Managing Partner as well as Chairman of the Investment Committee. Lindsey has been investing in private equity and credit for over 25 years. Lindsey has built Pollen Street into a fast growing, purpose led asset manager investing with the mega-trends across financial and business services, with a diversified AUM base across private equity and senior secured credit.
Before she founded Pollen Street, Lindsey led the team managing the £1.1bn Special Opportunities Fund within RBS and spent six years as a Partner at Cabot Square Capital, focusing on investments across Financial Services, real estate and other asset backed investments. Lindsey has a First-Class Honours degree in Accounting and Finance and studied for an MPhil in Finance from Strathclyde University.
Outside of work Lindsey is a keen runner having successfully completed the Marathon Des Sables in 2007 and 2011. She also supports several charities with a particular focus on mentoring children in state schools, supporting climate action initiatives through producing documentary films as well as supporting the speech and language charity, Auditory Verbal UK, that provided early years therapy to her daughter Grace.
Marco De Benedetti is a Managing Director, Partner and Co-Head of the Carlyle Europe Partners investment advisory team at Carlyle, particularly focused on the telecommunications and branded consumer goods sectors. He is based in Milan.
Mr. De Benedetti has advised on a number of European investments during his time at Carlyle including NBTY, Moncler, Golden Goose and Hunkemöller. He is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of Design Holdings, Twin-Set and Forgital.
In addition, Mr. De Benedetti is a key member of Carlyle’s European Private Equity Executive Committee which was formed in 2022 to drive deeper collaboration across all the firm’s Corporate Private Equity activities in the region.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2005, Mr. De Benedetti was the Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia. Mr. De Benedetti was the Chief Executive Officer of Telecom Italia Mobile from 1999 until its merger with Telecom Italia.
Prior to taking on his current role, Benjamin covered Schroders Capital private equity investment activity in Europe, as well as in the US while in secondment in New York. Before joining Schroders Capital in 2008, Benjamin worked in the Investment Banking division of Sal. Oppenheim in Frankfurt and Cologne, Germany.
Benjamin holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Private University of Witten/Herdecke, Germany.
Managing Director and Co-Founder. Mr. Morgan is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of Centre Lane Partners. Mr. Morgan has over 25 years of experience. Prior to co-founding Centre Lane, he was the head of the Corporate Private Equity Group at D.B. Zwirn & Co. (“DBZ”), a multi-strategy private investment firm with over $5.0 billion of assets under management at its peak. Mr. Morgan joined DBZ from an affiliate of Moore Capital, a $15.0 billion hedge fund, where he was a Principal focused on special situations equity and debt investing in middle market private companies. Mr. Morgan also served as a Managing Director and member of the investment committee of Moore Capital’s Asian distressed debt joint-venture, Moore Strategic Value Partners. Mr. Morgan began his career at Goldman Sachs and was part of the Merchant Banking, Leveraged Finance, Corporate Finance, and Mergers and Acquisitions groups, based in the Frankfurt, London and New York offices at various points. Mr. Morgan holds a B.S. in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
