Bill Truscott started his working life as a Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Diesel Fitter, working for a number of years across Australia, Europe and the Middle East. On returning to Australia, Bill completed a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics and Computing) , and has spent the ensuing 32 years in various technical and commercial roles in the energy industry in Australia. Across the last three decades Bill’s experience in the industry has been broad, and has included the design and operation of electricity markets in Australia, gas and electricity spot and contract trading, commodity risk management, energy retailing, electricity generation and asset development. After joining Origin in 2011, Bill led the Generation Strategy function for a number of years, and then since 2017 led the asset development function. Bill is now leading asset investment strategy, including the integration of emerging technologies. Bill has also completed an accelerated MBA at the Graduate School of Management
