Roger has over 30 years experience in design, integration and project delivery in Defence, Toll systems and Rail. After 9 years as Aurizon’s Chief Engineer, Roger leads Aurizon’s Fleet Decarbonisation Programme. The Programme includes the development and testing of zero emission vehicles, technical research and emission reduction projects targeted to have immediate impact on our operational emission intensity. Roger has throughout his career been part of or lead multi-disciplinary specialists to achieve project oriented goals utilising new technologies. As a Fellow of both Engineers Australia and IMechE he actively encourages engineers to set and achieve their career and personal aspirations.

Damien has over 30 years of experience in research and development, consulting and innovation in mining, processing, and decarbonisation. Damien was a General Manager in Rio Tinto’s Innovation team and a Senior Principal in the Hatch Advisory team. Over the past four and half years, Damien has been working with Aurizon to assist in developing and implementing its decarbonisation strategy. Damien is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with a PhD and is passionate about technology and innovation to enable a zero emissions future.
