Daniel Roddick CFA founded Ely Place Partners in 2018.

Ely Place is a specialist adviser in alternative assets. It assists PE, credit, infrastructure and venture GPs raise capital from institutional investors, and acts as a specialist adviser on secondary and co-investment transactions.

Ely Place has been particularly active in advising private debt managers on the raising of capital as well as GP-led secondary transactions.

Daniel has 20 years of experience in private equity advisory, formerly running the placement division of EPIC Private Equity. Prior to that he worked at Campbell Lutyens and McKinsey and Co. Daniel read Engineering, Economics and Management at Oxford University, has an MA from Royal Academy of Music and is a CFA charter holder.

Zach has over 25 years of executive experience in investment management and asset servicing. Zach founded Arrow Global in 2005 and serves as Group CEO and CIO of Arrow Global. Zach has supervised over 1,000 investments at Arrow and is a lead Principal in Arrow’s fund manager. Prior to joining Arrow, he was an Officer of Sallie Mae, a Director at Vertex (the BPO division of United Utilities), and a Founder and Executive Director of 7C (a U.K. BPO company acquired by Verte😆. Zach was previously the Chair of the U.K. Debt Buyers Association and was named an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010. He graduated from Princeton University with a BA in Economics with Honours and a Certificate in Applied and Computational Mathematics with Honours.

Jonathan is a co-founder of Conduit Real Estate, a UK and European debt and special situations capital advisory business established in 2020.

Conduit Real Estate have advised on over €3 billion of European transactions since inception.

Jonathan previously worked for a London-based pan-European investment manager and was responsible for capital raising across their equity and debt strategies, as well as debt origination on behalf of a sovereign wealth fund. Earlier in his career Jonathan was responsible for international clients and investment strategy at a leading global agency business, and prior to that worked in finance.

Jonathan has a keen interest in PropTech, as both an investor and mentor, and holds an MPhil from the University of Cambridge and a BSc from Johns Hopkins University.

Mr. Trears is a Partner and the Global Head of Ares Infrastructure Debt with over 22 years of experience in the infrastructure sector. Additionally, he serves on the Ares Infrastructure Debt Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, he was a Partner and Global Head of AMP Capital's Infrastructure Debt Team, where he headed AMP Capital's Infrastructure Debt platform focused on mezzanine and subordinated infrastructure debt opportunities. Mr. Trears was one the founding members in building AMP Capital's infrastructure debt funds 1-5 in the mezzanine and subordinated debt sector. Previously, Mr. Trears was a Director at WestLB Infrastructure Team covering the Americas, working across the energy and transportation assets. In addition, he worked at Citi Investment banking platform in New York and London. Mr. Trears holds a B.Com. from University College, Dublin in Commerce.

Jonathan Babkow is a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Residential Credit at Pretium, where he is responsible for the management of the residential credit business.

Mr. Babkow joined Pretium in 2018 with over 25 years of experience in mortgage trading and investing. Prior to joining Pretium, Mr. Babkow was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently Head of Residential Loan Trading. Prior to that, he was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns where he oversaw the Global Distressed Residential Loan business , Mortgage Servicing business and the Residential Mortgage Origination businesses in Europe and Asia.

Mr. Babkow is a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He received a BS from Franklin & Marshall College, where he serves on the Board of Trustees.
