Bill Amann is a mechanical and electrical engineer and has over 40 years of experience in HVAC and energy efficiency. He has been strongly committed to energy efficiency and sustainability for his entire career. Bill is President of M&E Engineers in Somerville, NJ and serves on the US Green Building Council NJ Chapter Market Leader Advisory Board and is a past chairperson and is also Chairman of the Somerset County Energy Council. He is a licensed Professional Engineer and one of four individuals in NJ to be distinguished as a LEED Fellow. He has provided training on green buildings, energy efficiency and heat pumps to industry groups across the country.
This depth of practical knowledge of solid waste materials, markets and industries is fundamental to attaining a high landfill diversion rate for over 175 projects achieving LEED certification, and a prerequisite for achieving net zero waste status at 25 projects: The Willow School, Natural Resources Defense Council-NYC, Princeton University Neuroscience Institute, Merck Pharmaceutical, and multiple public and private sector projects.
As a practicing sustainable Architect, Jason’s work includes the restoration, preservation, and adaptive reuse/renovation of existing buildings as well as creation of many new environmentally responsible & healthy projects for the last twenty years. Work includes corporate, commercial, educational, hospitality, municipal, residential & retail clients.
