Jody FinsenJody FinsenSustainability Manager, Inland Rail at Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC)

Jody Finsen is a sustainability leader with over 25 years of experience driving sustainability outcomes in major building and infrastructure projects across Australia. An environmental engineer, Jody has secured ratings under both the Infrastructure Sustainability and Green Star systems for iconic projects such as Aura – the largest master planned community in Australia, and for Inland Rail. Jody is highly skilled at engaging project delivery teams around achieving sustainability targets through innovation and industry best practice. Her technical knowledge of sustainability implementation across design, construction and operation have made her a sought-out advisor. Jody is the Sustainability Manager on Inland Rail – a $14.5 billion heavy freight rail infrastructure program transforming how goods are moved around Australia. The program is only in early stages of construction and Jody has already achieved significant milestones including the first Infrastructure Sustainability rating, technical guidelines such as the Inland Rail Climate change risk and adaptation framework, Inland Rail BAU Assumptions Framework and facilitating outcomes in material recycling and emissions reduction.

As Director Strategic Projects at Alstom Transport ANZ – Alan is responsible for the development of strategic and emerging technology business opportunities across Australia and New Zealand including Hydrogen trains. Alan is an active member of the Institute of Railway Signal Engineers and has worked in the Rail Industry for over 30 years. He is a skilled Rail Industry professional with experience across Signal Engineering, Rolling-stock and Train Protection Systems, General Management, Business Development and Programme and Project Management.

Ibrahim  FazahIbrahim FazahDirector – Delivery & Growth Markets ANZ at Systra

Ibrahim is a project professional with more than 12 years’ experience delivering transformation projects in transport. He has worked on all stages of the lifecycle on major multidisciplinary projects, from feasibility and planning, through construction, commissioning and operations. He is passionate about creating collaborative environments in which all team members can perform to their full potential and deliver solutions based on the power of collective ideas. At SYSTRA, Ibrahim sets the strategic direction for the Transport ANZ Transport line. He leads the Project Management and Bid Management teams for Australia and New Zealand, and is incubating SYSTRA’s emergent technology capability for the ANZ market, including Zero Emissions Transport, decarbonisation of rail, Energy Transition, Autonomous Vehicles and New Mobility Services. Ibrahim’s favourite thing about his job is the people - he leads and works with clever, passionate and resourceful SYSTRA colleagues from across the globe. When he’s not at work, Ibrahim spends time playing basketball or LOL dolls and lego with his daughters, aged five and eight.

Louise Barrett is the Manager, of Sustainability and Climate Change at Rail Projects Victoria (RPV). Leading the Sustainability team Louise is responsible for the development and delivery of the Environmental-Sustainability Program across some of Victoria’s largest metropolitan and regional rail projects. Cutting her teeth on delivering environmental and sustainability outcomes on Regional Rail Link, Louise subsequently has led the Sustainability Strategy for the Metro Tunnel Project, Ballarat Line Upgrade, Regional Rail Revival, Geelong Fast Rail, and Melbourne Airport Rail. Louise is passionate about planning, design, and delivery of projects that not only reduce impacts but also provide better outcomes for our environment, the asset owner, and communities. Louise wants to see rail projects improve outcomes for the circular economy, ensure infrastructure is resilient to a changing climate and achieve Net 0 outcomes.

Scott has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas, transport and logistics industries for major producers and railway operators across the globe. He has held senior management roles focused on operations, health, safety and environment, risk management, security and the community. Scott is a highly experienced leader with an outstanding track record of implementing innovative strategies and initiatives that deliver safety outcomes in high risk operating businesses. As Group Executive Safety, Risk and Assurance, Scott is responsible for workplace health and safety, rail safety assurance and risk and compliance activities across Queensland Rail.Scott is a highly experienced leader with an outstanding track record of implementing innovative strategies and initiatives that deliver safety outcomes in high risk operating businesses.
