We've been working very hard over
the recent years in developing

and externally to train the people.

We've spent a lot of time
on sort of grassroots.

We're about to roll out a Cert 3 training
program, which is aligned to an RTO.

So when our teams come into the
business they learn rail grinding,

they learn track maintenance and
they end up with a certificate 3 in

tracking construction, which is going
to be a really good thing for the

business and also for the industry.

We've also taken some time in terms
of our leadership training, developing

our leaders as they come through the
industry and through the business.

And we've also spent time supporting our
tertiary education for people as well and

MBAs and those sorts of external degrees.

All of which adds more skill set
and more ability to the business.

And it gives our people a level
of confidence through training and

education that they can apply to the
business and apply to the job, and

supply a better service to the client.

So, very serious focus and looking
forward to seeing the results.

I've been in rail all my career.

I left uni in 2001, I think that
was and joined railway business

straight out of university.

I didn't really have a
dream to get into rail.

I wasn't particularly exposed
to rail, but I love cars.

I love machinery.

I love doing things with my hands.

Rail seemed like a really good interesting
opportunity when the ad came through.

So I applied.

Was successful in the role and have
been in the rail industry ever since.

I think that probably the benefit of the
rail industry and staying with that trend

of all industry has been the mentors, has
been the support, has been the learning

and growth as my career has developed.

I've gone through several roles in several
positions, going from engineering design

through to track maintenance, safety and
then the leadership roles that I'm in now.

All gifted to me through the career
in rail, which has just been amazing.

it was the best thing I ever did was

Resilience, that's a great
question and I do think resilience

takes many different forms.

Probably for me when you say resilience,
resilience is about strength of character.

It's about your ability to stand strong.

Times get tough and you need to have the
ability within yourself to recognize that

what you're doing is the right thing.

You know where to get some help for
assistance, you know how to be strong

and support yourself and your team to
lead your way through the troubled times.

The troubled times always comes a
