Gwyneth MacLeodGwyneth MacLeodHead of Network Strategy and Investment at KiwiRail

Gwyneth has spent more than 25 years working in transport infrastructure, principally across the UK and Europe. Her experience includes commercial strategy, government policy, competition and economic regulatory fields in a high profile and high impact sector that influences key outcomes for national economies. Before joining KiwiRail, her roles have included Director in PwC’s Deals team in the UK working globally on infrastructure transactions and value enhancement, and as strategy consultant with Booz&Co/Strategy&.

Murray Bruges is the Executive Director of the Helen Clark Foundation. Prior to the Foundation, Murray worked for Fonterra Co-operative Group in Auckland on resource management and environmental policy. From 2011 to 2020, Murray worked for the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in a range of roles focused on trade, economic, tech and climate policy, including a three-year posting to the New Zealand Consulate General in Los Angeles. Earlier in his career, Murray worked for the Ministry of Fisheries on a range of policy issues. He lives in Auckland with his wife and son.

André is a commercially focused executive with more than 25 years’ experience leading teams to deliver major, high profile infrastructure projects across Asia Pacific. André joined KiwiRail from Auckland International Airport, where he was the Chief Infrastructure Officer from 2018 to 2023. He has previously held roles as the Chief Executive of the Arts Centre of Christchurch and as the Principal, Director and Singapore Leader for consulting engineers, Arup. He is currently the Chair for Blake (formally the Sir Peter Blake Trust) and has also acted as a Director of Christchurch International Airport.

Anthony McFaddenAnthony McFaddenGeneral Manager, NSW/ACT, QLD & New Zealand at John Holland

Anthony McFadden (BEng - Civil) is a highly experienced construction professional with more than 20 years’ experience working in collaborative contracting environments. During this time, he has held senior management and operational roles on a variety of complex large scale civil construction, rail, tunnelling and water sector contracts across New Zealand and Australia. In his current role as General Manager for John Holland’s rail business in New Zealand, NSW, QLD and ACT, he is responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of rail projects up to $1bn in value. These cover all facets of rail construction including civil, track, structure and signalling works in busy urban and rural locations, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the rail industry.
