Josh JacobsJosh JacobsSustainability Director at WAP Sustainability

Josh is responsible for engaging and understanding the global marketplaces' sustainable rating systems, codes, purchasing policies, and standards for WAP Sustainability. In this role he helps develop and track the environmental programs that are being utilized throughout the world. As a LEED AP+ BD&C, Josh has served on over 40 sustainably focused committees, including but not limited to ASHRAE 189.1, LEED Steering Committee, USGBC’s Pilot Credit Committee, and served on the water/IEQ work group that developed the first public draft of the IgCC. He is a recurring guest lecturer at multiple universities and has spoken on sustainable building practices and purchasing on 5 continents. He works with organizations investor relations and sustainability teams to help them understand sustainable financial reporting tools such as SASB, GRI, and TCFD. Josh served as Chairman of the US Mirror Committee for ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement, the 2015 NAHB Material/IEQ Working Group, Chair for USGBC’s Pilot Credit Committee, and Chair of the LEED Steering Committee Chair and currently serves as Vice Chair of ASHRAE 189.1.

Barbra BatShalom is the founder and CEO of both the nonprofit Sustainable Performance Institute and BuildingEase and past founder and President of the USGBC Affiliate in Massachusetts which she ran for 9 years. She’s an industry leader whose vision drives market transformation from public policy to professional practice. Her work focuses on the intersection of systems, processes and culture. With a diverse background of fine arts, social psychology and 25+ years in architecture and sustainability consulting, she brings a variety of skills to her work and a unique perspective engaging the human dynamics of decision-making and creative collaboration to technical work. She's an educator, management consultant and change agent working with a wide range of governmental, institutional and private sector organizations to help them institutionalize sustainability. She has worked on various AIA initiatives, including the AIA 2030 Commitment and serves on the board of mindfulMaterials and Carbon Leadership Forum.

Olivia LaMarcheOlivia LaMarcheSustainability Manager at WAP Sustainability Consulting

Olivia LaMarche is a Sustainability Manager at WAP Sustainability, where she leads initiatives in material transparency and sustainability across industry sectors. She focuses on material health and circularity through collaboration with manufacturers, non-profits, and other stakeholders to drive innovations in chemical safety and reduce exposure to harmful chemicals throughout a product’s lifecycle.

With expertise in multi-attribute certifications, Olivia assesses for programs like the Living Product Challenge, Green Squared, and Cradle to Cradle Certified® Products Program. Proficient in the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Standard, she has developed training modules, evaluated products against the certification requirements, and partnered with manufacturers to implement circular design principals. Through her work, Olivia translates complex standards into actionable strategies, aiming to mitigate environmental and human health impacts through holistic circular design.

In Olivia’s free time she is an avid runner and loves to travel. She is always looking for the best running route or trail in the places that she visits.

Ashantae GreenAshantae GreenSustainability Manager at City of Jacksonville

GREEN is her last name, and it's deeply woven into her life! Ashantae Green is Jacksonville's first sustainability manager with over a decade of experience in fields such as sustainability, politics, architecture, agriculture, and environmental justice. With a foundational degree complemented by several professional certifications and advanced studies in sustainable management from LSU, Green has a comprehensive portfolio that reflects her commitment to creating healthy, resilient communities and advocating for equity. Her dedication extends beyond her professional endeavors as she had actively participated as a former board member and volunteer for various non-profit organizations, including USGBC Florida and the NAACP Jacksonville Environmental & Climate Justice Subcommittee. Green's efforts have been highlighted on national platforms, earning her widespread recognition. Recently, she was featured on the cover of Edible Northeast Florida Magazine and two Environmental Achievement Awards from the Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board, acknowledging her significant contributions to government and environmental justice.
