Peter Reidy re-joined KiwiRail as Chief Executive in August 2022. He had previously held the same position from 2014 to 2018, before holding the role of CEO Fletcher Construction from 2018-2022. Prior to KiwiRail, Peter was CEO of Downer New Zealand, and then held senior leadership roles with Downer Group in Australia and Singapore, including Board roles on the KeolisDowner Joint Venture operating Yarra Trams in Melbourne, and Gold Coast Light Rail. He has also held senior leadership roles with Todd Energy and Freightways New Zealand. More recently, Peter was Co-Chair of the NZ Government Construction Accord. Peter holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Auckland and has completed the CEO programme at Wharton University.

Dean is the Auckland Transport Chief Executive. Since being appointed in April 2023, Dean has made a commitment to drive transformative change in the transport landscape of New Zealand's largest city. Prior to this he has held a range of executive roles including Tuhura Partners – an advisory business to infrastructure owners and government, Chief Operating Officer for Auckland Council, and prior to that Managing Director for AECOM NZ. Alongside these executive roles he has held a number of governance positions including independent board member for the NZ Upgrade Programme, independent chair of the Eastern Busway Alliance, independent chair of the Western Bay of Plenty Transport System Programme, independent chair for Auckland Councils response to the Americas Cup 36th defence, President of Engineering NZ, former board member of Infrastructure NZ and the trustee for the Parenting Place charity.

Adele Wilson is the Chief Customer & Growth Officer at KiwiRail, leading the Freight, Interislander and Great Journeys New Zealand business. Prior to joining KiwiRail, Adele led Fonterra’s Consumer Export business, and, prior to that was global General Counsel for Fonterra’s Consumer and Foodservice business.
Adele is an experienced senior leader who has operated at an executive and board leadership level in various roles. Adele is known for her strong capability to think creatively and strategically partner with customers to build a brand proposition and service promise, growing market share and building a customer-led mindset through her direct teams and stakeholder partners. Her strong understanding of domestic and international supply chains are vital to KiwiRail’s efforts to make New Zealand export businesses viable in the international market.

As the Secretary for Transport and the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Transport, Audrey is responsible for delivering advice to the Government on transport issues including rail. Audrey’s work in relation to rail includes ensuring the Ministry’s effectiveness in developing policy to support a safe and reliable rail system that grows New Zealand’s economy. Audrey is an experienced public service leader, having held senior roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade, New Zealand Police, the Treasury and the Ministry of Justice. She has a Master’s degree in Economics from Victoria University of Wellington.
