Panel - Executing ESG Strategy - Moving from Commitment to Action Organisations around the world are making strong commitments to sustainability and specifically emissions reduction. More than 700 of the world’s top publicly listed companies have made Net Zero commitments and 80% of the FTSE 100 have committed to Net Zero by 2050. Despite this, organisations are finding it much harder than envisaged to move from commitment to action. L.E.K. undertook a Global Sustainability survey in 2022 to understand the key challenges and how are these are being overcome by successful organisations. John Goddard, L.E.K.’s Vice Chair Sustainability will highlight the key findings from this research and share his five-point plan that organisations’ can deploy to move successfully from commitment to action.
L.E.K. supported National Express in framing its Net Zero strategy, and John is delighted to be joined by Tom Stables, National Express CEO for UK & Germany who will share his perspectives on how the group developed its Net Zero commitments and is now making them a reality across the group. In essence moving from commitments to action.
