Helen launched a flagship women in technology mentoring programme to improve diversity in the growing technology workforce. She leads RELX’s modern slavery statement commitments including living wage assessments and is conducting human rights due diligence for the business. Previously she managed RELX’s global community programme. Sheppard has completed a number of ESG (Environmental, Social Governance) indices on behalf of RELX and has increased transparency in corporate reporting. Externally Helen represented RELX on the UNGC (United Nations Global Compact) action platform for Decent Work in Global Supply Chains. Helen is a fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability and holds an MSC in Development Studies from Birkbeck, University of London.
