Vanessa is a Special Counsel at K&L Gates. She exclusively advises clients in the private health insurance, health, life sciences and aged care/retirement village sectors and specialises in providing advice in relation to regulatory and privacy compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and contracting. Vanessa has spent a significant amount of her career in-house working for a range of healthcare organisations and a large health insurer. She has completed her Masters of Laws where her studies focused on health, privacy and corporate law.
Vanessa is currently a member of the Human Research Ethics Committee for the Royal Women's Hospital. She is also currently Co-Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Foundation

Specialising in Transformation, new builds and growth agenda’s, Kathryn has experience setting a data strategy, modernising analytics architecture, building and leading teams, engaging broad stakeholder bases, and delivering on analytics programmes to create business value. Kathryn’s passion for the analytics industry extends to broader community initiatives where she is Vice-Chair of the IAPA Advisory Committee, Chair of the Skills and Talent portfolio, and holds advisory board positions with RMIT Digital3 and Corinium Intelligence’s CDAO conference series

Kunal is an Associate Partner in McKinsey’s Melbourne office and works primarily in private healthcare strategy & innovation topics. His work in strategy and digital topics has spanned across private sector payors and providers, as well as start-ups. He co-leads McKinsey’s HealthTech Network chapter in Australia, and its knowledge efforts on the impact of Generative AI on healthcare in Australia. In this context, he supports players across the healthcare sector on identifying novel uses for data in improving patient outcomes, supporting patient and workforce engagement, outlining system-level need and enabling efficiency. He has a formal background in clinical medicine, having worked as a doctor in Victoria prior to joining McKinsey
