Cathy Roth OAM
National Chairman at PALZ
An initial career in diagnostic radiography, and subsequently in management, has seen Cathy as a leader in business
and wider community fields over many years including first female President of both an ANZO region Rotary Club and
the Geelong Chamber of Commerce. Cathy has chaired committees, and undertaken international appointments, for
Rotary, and served as District Governor. In the community Cathy has held a wide range of committee and Board
appointments including Director of Barwon Water, and Trustee of the Geelong Performing Arts Centre.
Following John’s diagnosis, Cathy and John established PALZ-Professionals with Alzheimer’s, replicating the workplace
environment of intellectual stimulation, professional development, and peer interaction, ensuring dignity despite
diagnosis. They have been actively involved in research both with the Austin Hospital and the National Ageing Research
Institute.
Cathy’s qualifications include a degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Leadership. A State finalist in the Telstra
Businesswoman of the Year, and a Geelong Business Excellence Awards Achiever of the Year, Cathy has received a
number of local and international awards, including Medal of the Order of Australia for services to the Geelong
Community.
