Alessandra Villa is leading the Lead-Generation group at Molecular Partners AG, with a focus on the generation of Radio-DARPin Therapeutics and multispecific DARPins. Alessandra is an Industrial Biotechnologist by training and obtained her PhD at ETH Zurich where she focused on antibody-based therapeutics in the group of Prof Dario Neri. After postdoctoral training on the characterization of patient-derived cancer stem cells, she joined Philochem AG as group leader on engineering and development of targeted cytokines for cancer therapy. In 2021, she joined Molecular Partners to explore the therapeutic potential of small repeat protein ligands (DARPins).
