April Kelly

April completed a PhD in Cell Biology at The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute in Melbourne before a postdoctoral appointment in Immunology in 2002 at the Wellcome Trust Biocentre in Dundee, Scotland. April then completed an MBA before taking a focus on technology commercialisation and healthcare product development at Scottish Health Innovations Ltd before a Knowledge Transfer role with the Enterprise Europe Scotland network within Scotland’s economic development agency, Scottish Enterprise. April then joined the Life Sciences Strategy team within Scottish Enterprise, chairing the Pharmaceutical Services Industry Leadership group and drafting Scotland’s first Pharmaceutical Services Strategy. April managed a portfolio of growing businesses as Account manager at Scottish Enterprise for several years before moving back to Australia in 2019, after almost 20 years in Scotland, to take up the role of ANZ Country Head and Investment Lead for Scottish Development International (SDI), responsible for Scotland’s trade and investment activity in ANZ.
