Ben Levenstein

Ben is responsible for Private Credit in the Private Markets Group (‘PMG’) at USS Investment Management and will succeed Mike Powell as the Head of Private Markets on March 1st 2024. The Private Credit business invests across the risk spectrum, both directly and through fiduciary managers. Ben oversees strategy, sourcing, underwriting and asset management across USS Private Credit business. Currently, PMG has grown to a team of 70 professionals investing across multiple private asset classes with a Net Asset Value of £26.7bn.

Prior to joining PMG, Ben was Head of UK and European Equities at USS managing equity portfolios totalling £6bn. Ben began his career as an analyst at HSBC specialising in Utilities. He holds a BA in Business and Economics from the University of the West of England.
