Christian Messelyn

Christian Messelyn joined Auckland Transport in January 2019 after an international and global career in rail and public transport in France, United States and Australia. Christian led the public private partnership in Reims from 2006 to 2011, running the public transport services on behalf of the local transport authority and delivering a brand new 12-km light rail line. After rejoining Alstom in 2011, Christian led the central marketing and strategy function for the Infrastructure & Systems division across all regions. In 2016, he joined the John Holland Group in Sydney as GM Rail Operations. Since joining Auckland Transport, Christian has led the Public Transport Development group, looking after the expansion of the rolling stock fleet, the integration of projects delivered by KiwiRail and City Rail Link limited and the development of public transport project services across the Auckland Region.
