Dr Daniel Aili

Daniel Aili is Professor in the Division of Biophysics and Bioengineering at Linköping University (LiU) and cofounder of ArgusEye AB. He has an MSc in Engineering Biology and a PhD in Sensor Science from LiU. After his PhD, he did a first postdoc with Prof. Molly Stevens in the Department of Materials, the Department of Bioengineering, and the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Imperial College London, UK, and a second postdoc with Prof. Freddy Boey at the Center for Biomimetic Sensor Science at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has received several prestigious grants and awards, including a Future Research Leader award from the Swedish Foundation of Strategic Research, a Wallenberg Academy Fellow award, and an ERC Consolidator Grant. His research is highly interdisciplinary and includes design and development of bioresponsive materials and biosensors for biomedical and biotechnological applications.
